Stop caring about what they think
you shouldn't take things so seriously.
taking things seriously is, well seriously dangerous.
ask yourself who are you trying to impress. if there was no one around would you be doing the absurd things you do? let’s hope not.
checking yourself on your camera, fixing your hair, adjusting your stance, adjusting your pants, adjusting your glance.
just stop caring.
back to who for.
is it your parents? the girl or guy you like? your husband or wife? your friends? your coworkers? strangers?
well, guess what, the landlord is knocking (yes, you).
and they aren’t living rent-free in your head anymore.
too often we let other people torment our thoughts and influence our actions.
you have one go at this (life), don’t let them have a second of it.
they aren’t thinking about you in their spare time.
they’re thinking about themselves.
honestly, they’re probably more insecure than you perceive yourself to be.
stand up to whoever has been weighing on you, or better yet just walk away.
it really is that easy. you just don’t think it is.
…or is it that you’re concerned about what “they” might think?
newsflash.
“they” don’t fucking exist, as in the collective consciousness of everyone you know who sits on your daily judgment panel.
down comes the gavel, hot off the press, town crier is already in the square.
no.
ridiculous.
so forget what “their” view might be and pursue what you want.
the first thing that came to your mind is probably it. go with your gut.
or just continue caring about others’ opinions.
you’ll probably regret it.
50 shades of meh
stop leaving all that meat on the bone.
in the depths of human existence, there lies a haunting truth.
we often find ourselves leaving meat on the bone of life, aching with untapped potential, and burdened by the weight of our insecurities.
it’s a dark reality, for within this vast tapestry of existence, we are mere shadows of what we could truly be.
like a banquet spread before us, life offers a cornucopia of experiences, dreams, and aspirations.
yet, in our fear and self-doubt, we leave morsels untouched, denying ourselves the richness that could be ours.
we hesitate, second-guessing our abilities and allowing the disapproving whispers of others to cripple our audacity.
the meat grows cold, and our hunger for fulfillment remains unfulfilled.
but let me whisper a truth into the shadows of your soul.
you were not meant to live a life half-lived, shackled by the opinions of others.
beneath the weight of their judgments, there lies a hidden fire within you, a beacon of untamed potential.
embrace the darkness and harness its energy, for therein lies the power to forge your path.
motivation is born from the depths of adversity, where the darkest nights give birth to the brightest stars.
dare to defy the expectations that bind you, for it is in these moments of defiance that your true strength emerges.
peel back the layers of societal conditioning and rediscover your authentic self.
embrace your quirks, your passions, and your unique voice, for they are the keys to unlocking a life lived fully.
the world may scoff, criticize, or belittle, but their opinions are merely echoes in the chamber of your destiny.
rise above the clamor, and let your actions speak louder than their words.
permit yourself to stumble, to falter, and to learn.
for it is in the face of failure that resilience is born, and with resilience, you can conquer mountains.
so, my friend, heed this dark yet motivational call.
leave no meat on the bone of life, for it is the marrow of experience that nourishes the soul.
unleash your passions, pursue your dreams, and dance fearlessly with the shadows.
in the face of adversity, embrace your true potential, and let the world bear witness to the light that ignites within you.
Another day, another collar
no one else is going to break your chains.
you wake up. at your scheduled time.
because you have to go to your pointless job.
because they say so.
who is being enriched?
you? probably not.
the corporation is. the shareholders certainly are.
when did you become just another cog is the system? another spoke in the wheel.
things were supposed to be different.
but you listened to everyone else. had to live up to societal standards. expectations.
you go to work. to afford the house. for the family. for the recognition.
that you don’t spend any time in, or with them.
not to mention, the bank probably owns most of it. but that’s just adding insult to injury.
but it still isn’t enough. it never is.
and that’s the cold, hard truth.
it may be time to change that.
tell your boss to shove it and recalibrate.
no one will understand.
because they’re brainwashed to believe the same lie.
indoctrinated.
but you will. and shocker, that’s all that matters when you’re lying on your deathbed.
life, simulation, whatever it is, is finite.
don’t fly on autopilot.
